We had about 125 children join us for our 1st RBG Rotary Easter egg hunt. What a beautiful day in the park. The children were adorable, and really seemed to enjoy themselves. We received a lot of good feedback from the parents, and believe it is something we would do again. Within our photo albums, there are all the pictures that were taken, and you can view them in a slideshow. Thank you Tara and Chuck Sauter and the others who helped with the arrangements, and thanks to Karen Murray for helping to bring us the Easter Bunny. http://rbgrotary.com/photoalbums/easter-egg-hunt-2018. |

What a Success!! This was the clubs first time hosting a Comedy Night fundraiser featuring Vince Valentine and it was hilarious. Everyone had such a great time and laugh. We can't wait until next year. We also have to thank the Runnemede VFW for catering the event and for their generous donation of the hall for that evening.

Our next big project will be to build a pavilion attached to the playground at Beaver Branch Park. (Green Acres) We are very excited about this project and know that it will get a lot of use.

Club Meeting- 400 Sandwiches in 40 Minutes!
|
RBG Rotary donated $11,000 to Sam Sampolski of the Runnemede VFW in support of their WWP Project for an off-road wheelchair for a wounded Veteran to be able to enjoy outdoor activities. The Runnemede VFW does a fantastic job for our Veterans and we are lucky to be able to help support them. |
On 6/28/2012, The Runnemede Bellmawr Glendora Rotary Club assembled 400 ham and cheese sandwiches for the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. Founded in 1976, the Cathedral Kitchen has been in existence for 36 years, and in 2011, the Cathedral Kitchen provided over 235,000 meals. RBG club member Denise Penswater works closely with the Cathedral Kitchen and was aware of the need for meals/food towards the end of the month, so the RBG Rotary Club has voted to commit the last meeting of every month to making sandwiches and/or donating food. The RBG Rotary also visits the Cathedral Kitchen periodically to help serve meals to those in need.

On June 4, 2012, The Bellmawr School District Family Liaison Center along with the support of the Runnemede Bellmawr Glendora Rotary Club held a Water and Bike Safety evening at the local elementary school, where children were able to learn about water safety with the help of Josh the Otter himself. The children were given the Josh the Otter books and participated in activities around water safety and there was musical portion of the program where children were able to sing the Josh the Otter water safety song and make the official pledge to be safe around water. Children were also encouraged to bring out their bikes and helmets and a representative from The Peddler’s Shop from Deptford did bike inspections while a representative from Safe Kids performed helmets inspections. 50 lucky children even went home with brand new bike helmets. This event was a huge success for Bellmawr and it’s residents! |
